Rafael Nadal was born to an entrepreneur Sebastian and his wife Ana Maria, on June 3, 1986, in Manacor, Spain.

He has a younger sister Maria Isabel.

With his uncle Toni Nadal a former professional tennis player, he started tennis when he was three years old.

When he was eight, Nadal won an under 12 regional tennis championship. Young Nadal turned professional at the age of 15.

The same year he won 11 singles titles and eight of which on the clay court as he named as “King of Clay”.

In 2007 with few losses, again he won Dubai Tennis Championship, Indian Wells Masters, Monte-Carlo Masters, Open Sabadell Atlántico Barcelona, International NBL, and again French Open, Mercedes cup. But he suffered from a knee injury in this period

In 2013 he won the Barcelona Open, Rome Masters, French Open, ATP Masters 1000, Grand Slam, Davis Cup with these he secured the year-end No.1 spot.

After few losses, he announced that he would skip the rest of the season to undergo surgery for his appendix.

2016 Nadal started the year winning Mubadala title and also achieved Masters 1000, ATP 500, French Open, and at the Rio Olympic 2nd Gold Medal
